Marketing Communications

» Corporate Communications and Marketing are closely related disciplines, both focused on how an organization is perceived by its audiences. I have therefore played a key role in developing and introducing new corporate designs on several occasions, including for Stiftung Kreuznacher Diakonie, MTU Aero Engines, Ledvance, and the Infinigate Group – both internally and externally. I have also worked on a wide range of marketing initiatives: marketing campaigns, customer magazines for the 728 and Tech Data Germany, promotional events for Linde Gas’s new e-learning offering, numerous trade show appearances for a variety of clients, award ceremonies for a leading real estate services provider, the development of the European Patent Office’s Facebook presence, and the Infinigate Group’s LinkedIn presence. My work has also included ads, poster campaigns, flyers, brochures, direct mail copy, and dedicated web content – and, for Dictum, even catalog copy about hand-forged Japanese knives. Much of it was below the line, some of it above the line – but it was always driven by content, intended impact, and effective execution.

I was also closely involved in preparing and executing the company’s presence at it-sa 2023. At the trade show alone, we arranged six interviews with trade media for the DACH managing directors. » Starting in May 1998, I spent nearly four years leading the development of Internal Communications at MTU Aero Engines, then a DaimlerChrysler subsidiary and an internationally active aircraft engine manufacturer with around 7,000 employees worldwide. A major part of my role involved developing and implementing communications projects. Key areas included change communication and communications around the company’s corporate vision and values. This also included preparing and organizing leadership events.I also contributed my experience to the development of promotional materials, brochures, posters, and events. “The euro as the corporate currency,” “30 Years of MTU,” environmental initiatives, the introduction of SAP R/3, and the employee survey are just some of the projects I advised on and supported through effective communications.Another particularly varied assignment was my involvement in developing a new corporate design.
