Communicating
Change & Transformation
» Driving organizational change through effective communication – and changing the way organizations communicate: successful transformation depends on both. In change initiatives, one of the key success factors is engaging important internal and, in some cases, external audiences early in the process, actively involving them in shaping the change, and supporting them throughout.
Whether the challenge is implementing new processes and ways of working, organizational change, restructuring, mergers, or the introduction of a new operating system, companies constantly face the task of shaping change, communicating it constructively, and putting it into practice. Trust, credibility, motivation, and commitment depend to a significant degree on delivering the right messages in the right way.
My corporate career began with responsibility for change communications at MTU Aero Engines, and change has remained a recurring theme throughout my work ever since. It became such an important part of my professional focus that I later completed several certified coaching and trainer programs to strengthen my ability to support successful change communications.
Since then, transformation has been part of almost every assignment I have taken on:

» I supported the Infinigate Group as it grew from around 700 employees to more than 1,300 and from approximately €800 million in annual revenue to €2.3 billion, driven primarily by several acquisitions. As interim Head of Corporate Communications, I was responsible not only for media relations and PR, but also for Internal Communications and Change Communications, and I was a member of the Integration Management Office. The introduction of a company-wide Sounding Board, a group of change agents, proved particularly effective in supporting the transformation. Learn more »
